– Ethiopia is Africa’s oldest independent country and it is one of the only two nations in the world never to have been occupied. This is despite the Italians twice trying and failing to take the country. In case you were wondering, Russia is the other country.

    –  It has a unique cultural heritage, being  the home of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church – one of the oldest Christian churches in the world.  which practised Christianity before Europeans and accepted Islam before the Middle East. Ethiopia is one of the few countries in the world that mentioned both in the Bible and Quran over 50 times. 

     – The only African Nation with its own alphabet. There are over 80 different languages spoken in this country. The most widely spoken of these are Oromiffa and Amharic. 

     – Ethiopia is the origin of the religion called “Ethiopianism” , the Ras Tafari Movement and the origin of Coffee you drink.
